We were asked by a UK Platform to lead the co-ordination of a programme to simplify their business architecture including consolidation of their third party supplier arrangements. This consisted of managing a programme of work that included 16 projects and 8 workstreams.
Approach:
We provided programme oversight, ensuring that all individual projects and workstreams were delivering to their individual plans, and to provide support to underlying projects and workstreams as required. Due to the nature of the programme, it was essential that we provided prioritisation, conflict resolution and removing blockers to keep the plan on track.
Internal and external resources were managed with joint governance in place to enable the escalation of risks, issues and decisions and reporting those into the ExCo.
Results:
We consolidated the third party arrangements into a single operating model through the delivery of transitional states during the lifecycle of the programme. This provided significant benefits to the business including cost reductions, simplification and efficiencies.
