A leading UK Life and Pensions company were embarking on a large transformation programme with limited experience in test management and execution and reached out to us to enable the transfer of their legacy systems into a new platform.
Approach:
We reviewed the current testing process and suite of artefacts and swiftly made recommendations for improvement. Following these recommendations, it was agreed that we would lead the testing to ensure successful project delivery.
Results:
We led the test management of the programme, including strategy, approach and plan with oversight of test preparation, execution and defect management. We worked with multiple workstream leads and the programme manager to validate the plan and to initiate the plan, providing regular progress updates and escalation of risks and issues through the programme governance process.
Due to the successful delivery of the initial phase, it was agreed for us to continue with the further phases, making some adjustments on the approach based on the scope and improvements from lessons learned to keep the test phase as effective as possible.
